About Magister Accounting

Soegijapranata Catholic University's Master of Accounting Study Program provides the best services related to knowledge and skills that focus on the field of accounting and the latest accounting dynamics (current issues in accounting). Program participants are directed to be able to master and be able to apply concepts and improve professional competencies and qualifications which are very much needed to develop the field of modern accounting both on a national, regional and global scale. The learning process also emphasizes instilling the values of integrity (ethics), good organizational governance (Good Corporate Governance) and alignment with sustainable business processes.

In accordance with the tagline of the Soegijapranata Catholic University Master of Accounting Program with all its advantages, competencies and added value, it is hoped that graduates will have professional character in the field of accounting who are able to take on managerial roles as decision makers in the fields of financial accounting, accounting information systems, audit and managerial accounting in organizations. These characteristics are manifested in the form of Triple-A values (Achievement, Attitude and Acknowledgment) which are recognized by society, and become a distinctive feature for graduates.

The Master of Accounting Program has received “Very Good” accreditation and Soegijapranata Catholic University has also received “Excellent” accreditation from the National Accreditation Board.

Lecture Schedule & Curriculum

Regular Class

Regular Classes start every Odd semester. Lecture times are afternoon/evening, Monday to Friday, 18.00 – 20.30 WIB (1 session). Lectures are held at Campus 1 Soegijapranata Catholic University, Jl. Pawiyatan Luhur IV/1 Bendan Duwur Semarang. The normal study period is 2 years.

Executive Class

The Executive Class is held to provide opportunities, especially for employees/managers, to be able to pursue Master's studies, while maintaining the quality of the education provided. Lecture times are every Thursday, Friday 18.00 – 20.30 (1 session) and Saturday 08.30 – 17.00 (3 sessions). Lectures are held at Campus 1 Soegijapranata Catholic University, Jl. Pawiyatan Luhur IV/1 Bendan Duwur Semarang. The normal study period is 2 years.

Registration Requirement

Soegijapranata Catholic University's Master of Accounting is open to all undergraduate graduates (S1) in various fields of study. Through the matriculation and soft skills programs, program participants are prepared to be better prepared and able to take part in all learning programs smoothly and satisfactorily. Registration requirement:

  • Photocopy of S1 diploma that has been legalized
  • Transcript of grades in the Undergraduate Program or equivalent
  • Certificate of study program accreditation in an undergraduate program or equivalent
  • Certificate of Academic Potential Test results (Psychotest organized by UPT Psychology Soegijapranata Catholic University)
  • Certificate of English proficiency test results (TOEFL Certificate) that is still valid

The normal study period is 2 years. Students take courses in Semesters I-III and a thesis in Semester IV.
